Horton and Port Eynon Lifeboat Station enjoyed a slice of cake with supporters on Bank Holiday Monday and successfully raised over £460 for the RNLI.
On offer at the station was tea, scones, freshly made welsh cakes and various other cakes, which were donated to the station by locals. The RNLI shop also raised a further £270, making a total for the event £730.
Steve Davies, Station Mechanic, said:
‘As mums and dads enjoyed tea and cakes, the children soaked the Horton crew with a hosepipe! The children were shown the lifeboat and equipment, and they also had the chance to dress up as a lifeboat crew member. Horton and Port Eynon RNLI Lifeboat Station would like to thank everybody who donated cakes for the occasion, and to all who came along to make the event a very successful day.’
