Sean McHugh of Wales Biodiversity Partnership said: “The events showcase the rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes of Wales. With so many events to choose from there’s something to suit all ages and levels of interest”

On the 14th June the biggest wildlife event in south Wales takes place at Parc Bryn Bach, Tredegar. ‘Go Wild’ is a festival of wildlife with advice on making your garden bee-friendly; building a bee hotel; beekeeping demonstrations; Big Garden Birdwatch tips; local bat and amphibian experts; art and craft workshops; and a host of environmental organisations on hand to give advice and tips on how you can help nature.

Katie Partington, ‘Go Wild’ coordinator said “Go Wild is a fantastic, free family day out with lots of fun outdoor activities to raise awareness of local wildlife. The event builds on last year’s theme and is all about bees and other natural pollinators, who we couldn’t live without.”

The week also sees Kirsty Williams AM officially launch the new website and associated web services of the Biodiversity Information Service for Powys and Brecon Beacons National Park followed by an Open Day in Brecon on June 9th.
