Dance groups across Caerphilly county borough are being invited to showcase their talents at a spectacular community dance showcase next month.
The Community Dance Showcase celebrates participation in dance in Caerphilly county borough, and gives dance groups the opportunity to perform in a supportive and professional environment.
The Showcase will take place on Monday 11th June and Tuesday 12th June at Blackwood Miners’ Institute, beginning at 7pm on both days.
Groups are invited to apply to take part in this event – however the closing date to enter is this Friday (27th May), so don’t delay!
Organised by Caerphilly Arts Service, this annual event is an excellent opportunity to perform in front of friends and family, and to showcase Caerphilly county borough’s dancing talents.
Caerphilly’s Art Service is also leading on the London 2012 ‘Cultural Olympiad’ in Caerphilly, and this year’s dance showcase may lead to opportunities to get involved in this during the coming year – potentially allowing groups to showcase their talents to an even wider audience!
The Cultural Olympiad will culminate in a three-day spectacular multi-arts event at Caerphilly Castle in July 2012 – just before the Olympic Games begin!

Tickets to the Community Dance Showcase cost £5.50 and £4.50 for concessions. A family ticket costs £18.
