Youngsters from Bodnant Junior School will scrum their way down to Eirias Park, Colwyn Bay later this week where they will hear the benefits of no smoking – from the international Canadian rugby team.
Some members of the Canadian squad have based themselves in Eirias Park, Colwyn Bay as part of the North Wales Rugby Team. As 10 March is National No Smoking Day the team will meet youngsters from Bodnant Juniors, as well as Ysgol Penycae (Wrexham) and Ysgol Blessed Williams Davies (Conwy) on Thursday 11 March between 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
Pupils will have the chance to find out why the rugby players do not smoke and will receive some rugby taster sessions.
Bodnant Junior School has previously hosted the Smokebugs! roadshow and many of the pupils are currently members of the National Smokebugs! Club.
