Police officers in Barry have found cannabis and ecstasy tablets during a drugs search at a Barry home on Saturday 28th June after stopping a car in the area.
Barry officers raided the house, in York Place, after stopping and searching a car. The officers found a small amount of cannabis in the suspect’s car prior to carrying out a thorough search of the house. When the suspect’s home was searched cannabis worth around £2,000, ecstasy and other substances were discovered along with a sum of cash.
Following on from this search, officers also conducted a connected search on another house in the area and found evidence of cannabis cultivation and cannabis plants worth around £7,000.
Detective Sergeant Julian Kerslake said: “Most of what we do is led by concern from residents who don’t want to see cannabis in their streets”.
Two men from Barry have been arrested on suspicion of Possession With Intent To Supply controlled drugs of Class B.
