Cardiff Council’s Trading Standards is warning consumers of a Carbon Monoxide Alarm that has been recalled by its manufacturer, One Electrical Ltd.
Tests have revealed that the alarms in question, product code CP8005, may not detect certain levels of Carbon Monoxide and as a result have been taken off sale.
Cardiff Council’s head of Regulatory and Supporting Services, Dave Holland, said: “Cardiff Council takes the issue of safety in the home very seriously. We ask consumers in possession of these particular Carbon Monoxide alarms to stop using them with immediate effect and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.”
