Cardiff Bay Sexual Assault: Crimewatch Appeal

South Wales PoliceSouth Wales Police detectives investigating a sexual assault in Cardiff Bay will be making an appeal on the BBC Crimewatch programme tonight (Wednesday, March 19) to try and identify the person responsible for the attack.

The assault happened during the early hours of Friday, November 1 2013 on the path which runs under the A4232 and near to Ferry Court.

The 19-year-old female victim was followed by the suspect as she walked through Grangetown from the city centre to Cardiff Bay.

Detective Inspector Mark Lewis, from South Wales Police, said:

“The victim was understandably very shaken and upset by what happened and we are giving her our full support while we continue our investigation.
“We are continuing to do all we can to identify the man responsible for this horrific attack on a lone female.
