A Consultant from Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (UHB) has been shortlisted for a top Royal College of Physicians Award.
Dr Orhan Uzun, Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist at the University Hospital of Wales, has been shortlisted for the RCP Excellence in Patient Care Awards for the Consultant or SAS doctor award category.
The mission of the awards is to recognise and promote the impressive work that physicians are doing around the world to deliver patient-centred care through education, policy, clinical practice and research.
Dr Graham Shortland, Medical Director at Cardiff and Vale UHB said: “I’d like to congratulate Dr Uzun on being shortlisted for such an important award which recognises his hard work and commitment to the profession – good luck.”
The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony during the conference dinner at Medicine 2016: RCP annual conference on Tuesday 15 March 2016.
