Fairwater councillor Keith Parry has been elected as deputy leader of the Plaid Cymru group on Cardiff council.
Councillor Parry replaces former Riverside councillor Gwenllian Lansdown who stood down from the authority earlier this year.
At the annual meeting of the group, Fairwater councillor Neil McEvoy was re-elected as the group leader. Councillor McEvoy is also Deputy Leader of the council and executive member for economic development.
Councillor Lisa Ford has taken over the traffic and transportation executive portfolio following the election of fellow Plaid Councillor Delme Bowen as Lord Mayor.
While Riverside councillor Mohammed Islam remains as chair of the economic and culture scrutiny committee.
