At this stage the Council does not propose to extend the closure beyond 08/01/10. Unless there is a significant deterioration in conditions over the weekend, schools will be open to pupils on Monday 11/01/10.
Examination candidates who are concerned about accessing their school tomorrow (11/01/10) should look at their individual school websites for more information.
Whitchurch High School
Following risk assessments the lower school will be closed for years 7, 8 and 9 on Monday 11/01/10. The upper school will be open for years 10, 11, 12 and 13 only.
Faith Schools
Faith based schools such as Church in Wales Schools and Catholic Schools will take their own decisions and inform parents of closures.
