A special CD of the final performances from S4C series Carolau Gobaith will be available to purchase as the perfect stocking filler.
The CD is available to buy at selected Welsh shops, online at the Sain website and can be downloaded via iTunes. Proceeds will be split between the two charities – Tŷ Gobaith and Amser Justin Time.
Carolau Gobaith, which is available to watch again on S4C’s website – s4c.co.uk/clic, saw six familiar faces learn how to sing before having to perform a selected Christmas carol in front of a live audience. The six were split into two teams and coached by two well-known singers.
The premise of the series was originally thought of by tenor Rhys Meirion as he looked for a way of raising money for Tŷ Gobaith. The Tŷ Gobaith hospice – with centres in Oswestry and Conwy – offers support to the families with children suffering from terminal illnesses.
Shân Cothi, the presenter and performer tasked with mentoring the second team, founded the Amser Justin Time charity in memory of her husband, Justin Smith, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer.
