Community groups who want to be part of this year’s Cwmbran Festival are being urged to get their funding applications in before the first deadline in April.
Plans for this year’s Cwmbran Festival are moving fast, and with the support of the Cwmbran Festival Committee, residents can look forward to a month long celebration of community events throughout August.
Funding is available to community groups or constituted organisations interested in delivering event such as fetes, dance showcases, music festivals, craft shows or costume parades for their community.
Applications are being accepted now and the first round of awards will be made following the festival committee meeting on the 14 April (applications must be submitted no later than midday on the 13 April). A second and final chance to apply for funding is available on the 27 May (applications must be submitted no later than midday on the 26 May).
Once all applications have been reviewed and grants awarded to those successful, a programme of events taking place in the ‘Festival Month’ will be published for local people to chose what to attend or take part in.
