At its Annual Meeting on Friday 21 May 2010, Ceredigion County Council elected Councillor Haydn Lewis of Ferwig near Cardigan to be its Chairman for the current municipal year.
Councillor Lewis has represented the Penyparc ward on Ceredigion County Council since the establishment of the new unitary authority in 1996. Councillor Haydn Lewis was first elected to the Tivyside Rural District Council in 1968 and subsequently served on both Dyfed County Council and Ceredigion District Council.
Councillor John Adams-Lewis – who represents Cardigan’s Mwldan ward on the County Council – has been elected Vice Chairman of Ceredigion County Council for this municipal year.
