Charity Walk by two young brothers

Alex (8) and Adam (5) dragged their Mum and Dad along Swansea Bay’s Coastal Path for 5 miles so that they could raise a fabulous £105 for Llandovery based www.schoolchildrenforchildren.org

Although setting out in the sunshine the boys also endured rain and hail completing their walk at Joe’s Ice Cream in Mumbles for a well earned treat.

Elizabeth Evans Alex and Adams Mum said: “The charity encourages children in the UK and USA, to take part in a physical activity in order to raise money for Children in other parts of the world. It was fantastic fun despite the weather! I was there to carry the bananas, chocolate brioche and water bottles that sustained us!”

Alex Evans added: “I wanted to do something to help the children in Africa. It only costs £180 to support a child in St Prisca’s school Nairobi for a year. We raised £105 from our walk, but we will raise the rest. I have some charity wristbands to sell to my friends and I  have been thinking that the Millennium Coastal Path should be the next challenge it’s nearly ten miles!”
