A draft version of the Children and Young People’s Disability Strategy is now available for consultation.
The Strategy sets out the City and County of Swansea’s Children and Young People’s Partnership (CYPP) priorities for meeting the needs of children and young people with disabilities.
The Strategy is one of the key actions identified in the Children and Young People’s Plan 2008 to 2011 to meet the needs of specific groups of vulnerable children and young people and therefore contributes to the Authority’s overarching Community Strategy.
It also links to the Authority’s Equality and Diversity Scheme vision for a society built on Fairness, Respect, Freedom, Choice and Dignity.
The CYPP Disability Strategy will form the basis for the development of a Disability Action Plan 2009 to 2011 which will also be consulted on.
An online questionnaire is now available for people to make comments at the link: http://www2.swansea.gov.uk/_snapforms/psp/psp/eng/cyp_disability_strategy_consultation.htm
The Disability Strategy can be downloaded in Welsh or English from the links on this page.
If you need a copy of the Strategy or questionnaire in an alternative format such as Braille or audio please email [email protected] or phone 01792 636162.
