Carols filled the air when schoolchildren entertained the crowds at the Mountain Ash free festive event.
The town centre Christmas event was hosted in Henry Street car park, where Santa arrived and there was a Christmas Market, Santa’s grotto, funfair rides and street entertainment. Absolute Dance Group and Mountain Ash RFC choir also entertained people of all ages.
Rhondda Cynon Taf Mayor, Cllr Simon Lloyd, who attended, said: “Thanks to everyone who came along to enjoy the event, including parents who were there to support their children singing in the choirs.
“A big thanks, too, to Darran Las Communities First Partnership who funded a large part of the evening. I was pleased there was such a good turnout and the event was such a success, despite the bitterly cold weather.”
