Coastal Housing Group has appointed Serena Jones as its new Director of Homes, Communities and Services.
Serena has joined Coastal from another Swansea based housing association and will be responsible for leading their housing, maintenance and supported housing teams to deliver first class housing services that sustain tenancies, communities, and the local economy.
Since starting work in the social housing sector in 1996, Serena has worked for a number of major supported housing providers in London, before moving to Swansea in 2008 to take up the role of Director of Supported Housing for Grŵp Gwalia.
Serena said, “Coastal have an excellent reputation for delivering fantastic services to tenants and communities in south Wales and I am delighted to join an organisation with such a strong commitment to great customer service.
“High quality stable housing is essential for people to be able to live a good life, but it’s often not the whole picture. I’m excited to work closely with tenants, staff and partners to shape services that enable people to achieve their wider aspirations, in terms of health, wealth and happiness.”
Serena joins at a time of real transition at Coastal with the Group looking to understand what really matters to tenants in order to develop and deliver solutions which are truly valued by their tenants and make a real difference to their lives.
Speaking of Serena’s appointment, Coastal Housing Group’s Chief Executive Debbie Green said: “We have attracted Serena to join us at a perfect time for Coastal and our tenants. She brings with her a wealth of experience that will help us on our exciting journey to create a more proactive support based model of service delivery.”
