Councillor Colin Morgan has been a Councillor representing the Briton Ferry East ward for 27 years.
He is currently Cabinet Member for Social Care, Health and Housing and has also recently taken on the role of the Neath Port Talbot Champion for Older People. The Champion has to ensure that issues affecting older people are kept at the forefront when there are discussions and decisions being made on policies and services which affect those over the age of 50.
Councillor Morgan states “As an ‘older person’ myself, through the community contacts I have across the County Borough, and my involvement in community groups such as Care & Repair and the Older Persons’ Council, I have an understanding of the issues which are important to those who are over the age of 50. I will ensure that the collective voice of older people does not go unheard and will champion their cause across a range of issues.”
