Colloquium for Equine Reproduction

Only 1 month until registration closes (Friday 14th October 2011) for the Colloquium for Equine Reproduction to be held on Saturday 29th October 2011.

Sponsored by EGG Tech and ERS – Equine Reproduction Supplies Ltd.

Following the unprecedented success of the first Colloquium for Equine Reproduction
in 2010, Aberystwyth University’s IBERS (Institute of Biological, Environmental and
Rural Sciences) will hold a second on 29th October 2011. Registration closes on Friday 14th
October 2011 and space is strictly limited so book your place as soon as possible.

Prestigious speakers have been confirmed including the renowned equine reproduction scientist, Dr Jenny Ousey (Beaufort Cottage Laboratories, Newmarket), Dr Julia Kydd (School of Veterinary Medicine and Science, University of Nottingham), Mr John Spencer (Fyrnwy Equine Clinic), Ms Emma Tomlinson (Beaufort Embryo Transfer). We are also delighted to announce Jos Mottershead as a confirmed speaker, joining us from Oklahoma USA. Jos runs Equine-Reproduction.com, an internationally renowned stallion management service and consultancy. Jos is an accomplished speaker in high demand around the world and also assists in instigating and delivering educational courses for equine reproduction management. We are thrilled he has agreed to come and present at CFER 2011.

The event is a unique opportunity to listen to and discuss the work of renowned scientists, vets and breeders who would otherwise rarely come together within one forum. A warm welcome will be extended to all and it is envisaged that delegates attending from a wide range of backgrounds including reproduction specialists, researchers, veterinary and biology students, breeders and veterinarians will discuss future opportunities and exchange valuable information. Participation in this colloquium will help create a focus for industry specialists, researchers and veterinarians to create a synergetic network of contacts and collaborators. The colloquium will provide a unique platform for discussion between breeders, veterinarians and researchers to identify areas of research need with real value to the breeder.

This event will be held at the easily accessible Hereford Racecourse. The event is being held on a not-for-profit basis and as such the registration fee priced at £60 per delegate for the day (£30 for students). Attendance must be booked in advance. For more information and to register your place please contact Dr Debbie Nash (IBERS) by e-mail ([email protected]). Deadline for registration is 14th October 2010.
