Designs for the redevelopment of Colwyn Bay Waterfront will be on display next week.
Conwy Council is inviting the public to view and comment on the artwork submitted by six designers, which show ideas for the redevelopment of the promenade.
All six designs will be on display at Colwyn Leisure Centre on Thursday 6th January 2011 from 10am to 8pm, and Council Officers will be available to offer information and answer any questions.
The designers have been asked to include details of the Watersport facilities, buildings, street furniture and public art.
Council Leader, Cllr Dilwyn Roberts, said, “We’ve identified Colwyn Bay as our regeneration priority. The proposals for the waterfront are just one element in our vision to revitalise the town.”
Cllr Mike Priestley, Cabinet Member for Environment said, “We believe these proposals, along with the coastal defence work that starts later this month, are vital to the long term future of the town. We’ll have a bright, attractive and interesting seafront that everyone can enjoy.”
