A series of drop-in sessions where residents and local groups will have the opportunity to have their say on plans for the new and exciting Splott Community Hub have been organised.
The Council is keen to hear the views of the community about the design of the new hub, its layout and services people would like to see provided there.
Consultation sessions will be held at the STAR Centre and Splott Pool as detailed below while additional sessions will also take place with schools and other groups in the area.
Wednesday, March 19 STAR Centre 2pm – 5pm
Monday, March 24 STAR Centre 4pm – 7pm
Tuesday, March 25 Splott Pool 3pm – 6pm
Thursday, March 27 Splott Pool 4pm – 7pm

Splott Park was identified as the preferred location for the development of a brand new community hub for Splott and Tremorfa and Cabinet gave the go ahead for the development in January.
The hub will include a range of facilities including a new 25m swimming pool, a fully equipped gym, multi-functional hall space, meeting and training rooms including computer access, changing facilities for internal and external sports use and a crèche area as well as a full library service, housing and benefits advice, free internet access and telephone, ‘Into work’ and training support and a community café.
Partner services such as financial advice, careers advice and Communities First will also be provided at the Hub.
Cabinet Member for Communities, Housing and Social Justice, Cllr Lynda Thorne, said: “The new Splott Hub will provide a modern ‘state-of-the art’ facility for the whole community. This consultation is an opportunity for people to input into the design process and have a say about the type of activities and services that they would like to see.. I would encourage everyone who has an interest in community provision in Splott and Tremorfa to come along to one of the consultation events to view the plans and to feedback comments”.
