A North Wales PR and SEO agency has received support from a leading Coronation Street actor for its charity quiz and auction in aid of the Domestic Abuse Safety Unit (DASU).
Ian Puleston Davies, who plays Owen Armstrong in the soap, has donated a unique, money-can’t-buy item for the auction: his character’s builder’s box.
To be held on Thursday, March 27, the event marks the culmination of 12 months of fundraising activity by Mold-based Outwrite.
The online marketing specialist has raised £1,324 so far for the Flintshire charity and is aiming to break the £2,000 barrier on the night. It has also carried out work free of charge for the charity, including providing advice on press release writing, website content and social media campaigns.
The builder’s box will include Owen’s hi-vis vest, signed by stars who play other Corrie characters, plus a letter to the auction winner from Owen.
DASU is a specialist, not-for-profit organisation that provides information, holistic support and advice to survivors of domestic abuse in Flintshire and across North Wales.

“Ian’s thoughtful gift of a unique prize is attracting interest from Corrie fans, and we are certain it will help us maximise the funds we raise on the night.”

The event takes place on Thursday 27 March at St David’s Park Hotel in Ewloe and starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 and include quiz entry, a raffle ticket and a light snack of chips and dips.
