This month Nantclwyd Y Dre in Ruthin is host to two events that will transport visitors back through the ages.
On Wednesday 22 September, the actress Jenny Goldsmith, who has donated a collection of costumes to the medieval town house for the season, will talk about the costumes and their place in history. The talk will begin at 2pm and is free.
On Friday 24 September at 7.30 pm, Jenny is joined by renowned harpsichordist Stella Searson and Lise Roberts on recorder as they present a Tudor evening, “Pastime with Good Company”. The atmosphere of the house will be heightened by the music and poetry of the Tudor age, with the ladies in historic costumes. Tickets are £15 for the evening.
Tickets for the concert are available from the receptions at Ruthin Gaol and Ruthin Library, or by telephoning Denbighshire Heritage Service on 01824 708281 or e-mail [email protected].
