Councillor Bill Cowie is the new chair of Denbighshire County Council.
At a meeting of the Full Council at County Hall, Ruthin today (Tuesday), Councillor Cowie, who represents St Asaph West on the Council was elected to serve as chair for the next 12 months.
He succeeds Councillor Meirick Lloyd Davies (Trefnant).
Also at the meeting today, Councillor Jeanette Chamberlain Jones (Rhyl South) was elected Vice Chair.
