Councillor Meirick Lloyd Davies is the new chairman of Denbighshire County Council.
At a meeting of the Full Council at County Hall, Ruthin today (Tuesday), Councillor Davies, who represents the Trefnant ward was elected to serve as chair for the next 12 months.
He succeeds Councillor Joan Butterfield (Rhyl West).
Also at the meeting today, Councillor Bill Cowie (St Asaph West) was elected Vice Chairman.
