Denbighshire County Council has expressed its sadness at the announcement that Anglia Homeserve is to close its property repair firm in Dyserth with a loss of 200 jobs.
The company has announced its intention to cease trading and will close for good on January 5.
Councillor David Thomas, Cabinet Lead Member for Regeneration, said: “Following on from other high profile closures, this latest news regarding Homeserve in Dyserth is a devastating blow to the workers and their families, the local economy and employment rates in the county.
“Denbighshire will do its utmost to help support the staff through this difficult time and we will be in contact with the company’s directors to offer practical advice and information to staff.”
