Monmouthshire County Council is looking for people who are passionate about the area and its wonderful walking opportunities to train as local experts and help visitors get the most from their stay.
The council is hosting a free Monmouthshire on the Menu for Walkers course on Wednesday 16th July from 10am to 4pm at Monmouth’s Shire Hall. The course will particularly benefit businesses or organisations which welcome walkers to the area.
The council’s Walking With Offa Co-ordinator Lucinda James said: “This course will provide several benefits for those who attend. They will gain knowledge and the opportunity to network with like-minded enthusiasts as well as building their skills. Enthusiasm is the only qualification they will need!”
Contact Hannah Williams on 07792 758003 or email: [email protected] to book a place. Locally sourced refreshments will be provided.
This project has received funding through the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007-2013 which is funded by the Welsh Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
