Flintshire’s Wheeled Sports enthusiasts will be able to show their skills at a special event on Tuesday, 16 February.
Wheelbase Twenty 10 will be held at Deeside Leisure Centre from 10am, with riding from 12pm to 4pm. Anyone over the age of eight can take part.
Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult. So bring your BMX, boards and blades!
Entry is free and entrants will only need to fill in a short form to take part.
Wheeled sports include BMX, skate-boarding, and in-line skating. There will be demonstrations from professionals, Jason Phelan, Tony Da Silva, Scott Ditchburn, Lee Davereux, Jamie Clegg and Owain Clegg.
Since the last Wheelbase showcase in 2003 there has been increased consultation with young people and communities and more involvement of young people in the design of skate facilities. Equipment has also been purchased and maintained at skate parks in Hawarden, Buckley, Flint and Connah’s Quay.
Alex Gray, Flintshire County Council’s Wheeled Sports Development Officer, said: “We are really looking forward to bringing everyone together from across the county for one massive event!”
