This week’s Crimewatch programme will feature a burglary which occurred at the One Stop store in Greenfield.
The burglary happened between 3.30am and 5.10am on Tuesday 12 January, when unknown offenders gained access in to the upstairs flat above the store.
Once inside the flat they cut a hole in the floor boards and smashed their way into the shop causing damage to ceiling and lighting.
Whilst inside the shop they managed to disable various alarms, but failed to disconnect the CCTV.
They then entered the store room and emptied the locked display containing cigarettes.
The offenders left the shop via the roof, with 16 bin bags of cigarettes, which were loaded into a white van. The van left in the direction of Greenfield road towards the A548.
The appeal will be screened on Crimewatch on BBC1 tomorrow, Wednesday 28 April, at 9pm.
