Penarth police are investigating a series of incidents involving criminal damage to a number of motor cars which occurred over night between Friday, January 14 and the following morning.
Five vehicles have been reported damaged and in each case the rear windscreens were smashed and damage caused to the rear wiper arm. The vehicles were parked in the Mountjoy Avenue, Mountjoy Close, Victoria Road and St David’s Crescent areas at the time.
Neighbourhood Police Constable Steve Gunney said: “I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward regarding this unusual spate of vehicle damage in Penarth which occurred some time overnight from Saturday 14th through to Sunday 15th January.
“This type of incident is very rare in Penarth and will not be tolerated.”
