As investigations continue into the source of the Legionnaires’ outbreak in South Wales, the Shadow Minister for Health and Social Services has reiterated the need to keep communities properly informed of developments.
Assembly Member for South Wales Central, Andrew RT Davies, said: “Work to identify the source of the outbreak is ongoing and while this should remain a priority for Public Health Wales, it is essential that an excellent flow of information continues and all questions and concerns are addressed.
“I continue to hope that families in the affected areas will not worry unduly as Legionnaires’ disease is not contagious and the risk of contracting it remains low.
“This remains a difficult time for the families of all those affected and it is important that access to clear information is readily available.”
