Commenting on news that publication of the latest NHS hospital waiting times figures have been postponed due to “concerns over the quality of the data”, Shadow Health Minister Andrew RT Davies AM said:
“This is an extremely worrying development which reinforces our own concerns about the validity of official government figures.
“We need to have absolute confidence that the information provided accurately reflects the real patient experience when it comes to waiting times.
“The overall number of people waiting for NHS treatment has risen month after month, while the Assembly Government recently missed a key target to cut waiting times.
“This is a problem which has plagued the Assembly Government for a decade. Rather than improving the situation Labour and Plaid Cymru policies are making it worse.”
