Commenting on figures released this morning showing increases in NHS waiting times for patients, Andrew RT Davies, Shadow Minister for Health and Social Services said:
“These figures highlight the challenges facing the NHS in meeting the targets through the summer months.
“The latest rise in waiting times suggests that the Health Minister is making a mistake in cutting the Health budget by £435m this financial year.
“The minister needs to work with Health Boards as we approach the winter to make sure that patient waiting times do not escalate, compromising the patient experience and clinical excellence.”
