Businesses in Swansea looking to take part in a blooming marvellous hanging basket scheme this summer have little time left to place an order.
Swansea Council’s Specialist Parks Team says businesses interested in taking part in the scheme have until Saturday February 27 to place an order.
Businesses that place an order for £54.20 will be supplied with hanging baskets and lamppost baskets containing a selection of colourful flowers such as Begonias, Surfinia and Diascia.
Staff from the Council’s Specialist Parks Team will water and maintain the baskets throughout the summer months.
The scheme has now been running for 21 years and has proven a simple and cost effective way to brighten up the city.
It runs from May to September and it’s hoped this year’s venture will again help make Swansea a more attractive place to shop, live, work and visit.
Steve Protheroe, Swansea Council’s Specialist Parks Manager, said: “The hanging basket scheme has been running for over 20 years and is always popular.
“It’s a great opportunity for businesses to add a touch of spring to their premises and they don’t even have to get their fingers dirty.
“We’re still taking orders and will be doing so up until Saturday.”
