The adverse weather conditions currently being experienced in Caerphilly county borough, initially snow but now ice, has meant that in some areas of the borough there has been a delay in the collection of general waste, food waste and recycling.
Officers at Caerphilly County Borough Council have currently only been able to undertake collections in areas where the roads are deemed safe enough to take the very heavy collection vehicles.
Officers are endeavouring to reach all areas affected by the delays in waste collection as soon as it is safe to do so and are grateful to residents for their patience.
Civic amenity sites will be open (with the exception of Christmas Day and New Years Day) should residents wish to dispose of any excess waste over the holiday period.
