Denbighshire’s Catering Service has been short-listed, for the third year running, for a UK-wide industry award.
They are once again among the top six school meal providers in the UK and have been short-listed in the ‘Performance Networks Best Performer’ award category for Education Catering at the Association of Public Services Excellence (APSE) awards.
The winner will be announced at a prestigious ceremony being staged in Blackpool in December.
Councillor Sharon Frobisher, Denbighshire’s Cabinet Lead Member for Environment, said: “We are constantly striving to provide the best education catering service possible and the fact that we have been shortlisted for the third year running out of every authority in the UK shows that the industry recognises our commitment and dedication.
“The APSE awards are arranged to celebrate the delivery of frontline services in local government and we are proud that the work being carried out in this service has been recognised for excellence and I congratulate the team for reaching this stage. I wish them all the best on the night.”
