Denbighshire appoints a new Corporate Director

Denbighshire County Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebecca Maxwell as Corporate Director Economic and Community Ambition.

Rebecca joins us from Stirling Council where she currently holds the position of Assistant Chief Executive, Sustainable Economy and Environment.

Leader of Denbighshire, Councillor Hugh Evans OBE, who is also Cabinet lead member for Economic Development, said: “We are delighted that Rebecca has joined us in Denbighshire.

“She has a wealth of experience in economic development and will be a great asset to the council as we continue our journey of improvement.

Mohammed Mehmet, Denbighshire’s Chief Executive, said: “Throughout the interview process, Rebecca showed she was an excellent candidate and I am delighted she has accepted the position of Corporate Director Economic and Community Ambition.”

“Rebecca comes to us with an outstanding track record of achievement and I’m confident she will make a massive impact for Denbighshire resident and I’m really looking forward to working with her.”

Rebecca said: “I’m really looking forward to working with councillors, staff, and communities across Denbighshire to further develop economic prosperity in the county.”
