Denbighshire’s Leisure Service aims to improve the health and wellbeing of people in the county by providing a top class service to residents and has now launched a survey to find out exactly what people think.
The survey, which will run until 3 December, will help identify the current and future needs of local communities and ensure that the services are in place to meet them. The results of the survey will be fed into a Leisure Strategy which will capture the current leisure provision across the County and analyse to what extent it meets the current and future needs of Denbighshire residents.
The strategy will look at Denbighshire’s seven leisure centres, sport development work, Exercise Referral Scheme, Dragon Sport – which is aimed at primary school children, the 5 x 60 Scheme – which is aimed at secondary school children, Active Workplace Scheme, the use of town and village halls as well as parks and playing fields
The Leisure Service is committed to achieving the Council’s long-term vision:
“Denbighshire in 2025 will be the ideal place to live, work, visit, conduct business and pursue a wide range of activities”.
