Creative youngsters from Denbighshire will travel to Strasbourg later this month after their success in an essay competition arranged by Europe Direct to win a place at Euroscola.
Euroscola is a European Parliament initiative which allows over 500 young people to come together to mix with fellow Europeans, use their language skills and join working groups to discuss topical EU issues.
Denbighshire has been awarded 26 places this year for pupils aged 16 to 18. The successful pupils, who will be representing Wales on 18 March in Strasbourg will represent Denbigh High School, Prestatyn High School, St Brigid’s School (Denbigh), Ysgol Brynhyfryd (Ruthin), Ysgol Dinas Bran (Llangollen) and Ysgol Glan Clwyd (St Asaph).
Before they depart for Strasbourg, they have been invited to County Hall, Ruthin on Wednesday, 10 March where they will be congratulated on their success by the Vice Chair of Denbighshire County Council, Councillor Meirick Lloyd Davies.
