Denbighshire County Council can confirm that recycling and refuse collections throughout the county are back on track.
Apart from some isolated rural locations which are still physically impossible to reach, all recycling and refuse has been collected. Crews have been working extended hours and extra resources have been drafted in to help clear the backlog.
Cllr Eryl Williams, Lead Member for Environment and Sustainable Development says, “We are very proud of our response on refuse. The vast majority of the public could see and understand the difficulties that we faced in the emergency, and they also appreciated the extra efforts we made in the catch-up. This included going down people’s drives if their refuse had not been put out. We know this because many people have taken the time to write in and tell us.”
All four Recycling Parks are open for residents who are able to get to them and the Saturday morning recycling service at Corwen planned for 16 January is expected to go ahead.
Once again, the council wishes to pass on its thanks to residents for their patience during the disruption to services.
