The A525 Nant y Garth remains closed as at 10.30am and this is our top priority at the moment with crews working to clear fallen trees. Diversions are in place through Corwen and through Bryneglwys. The road is not likley to be open by lunchtime due to the amount of fallen trees.
A small number of residents had to be evacuated from part of the Awelon Extra Care Home in Ruthin after a tree fell onto part of the building. Contractors are on site now and the tree is expected to be cleared by lunch time.

Elwy Street, Rhyl, from its junction with Kinmel Street to its junction with West Kinmel Street is closed due to a collapsed water pipe.
Bus services affected:
X50 Denbigh & Ruthin to Wrexham operating via Mold owing to Nant y Garth being blocked (X52 Denbigh north to Rhyl operating normally).
X94 Barmouth – Corwen – Llangollen – Wrexham unable to serve Cynwyd, Llandrillo & Llandderfel again owing to trees.
5 Wrexham – Corwen and X5 Corwen Ruthin – expect delays.
