Denbighshire County Council is warning people to stay off the ice that has formed on Marine Lake in Rhyl.
Temperatures have plummeted to around -8 in the local area this morning, causing the salt water in the Lake to freeze over.
Although this may look tempting to people who would like to skate or walk on the ice, it is extremely thin and will crack under any weight.
Ian Olson Coastal Facilities Officer said “People should not attempt to access the ice under any circumstances, there is a thin layer of ice and the water below it is bitterly cold”.
