The special events team at Neath Port Talbot Council are calling on all residents who are planning a street party for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee to contact them.
Residents may need to apply for a road closure which means a registration form needs to be completed.
The team are also giving out advice sheets so that clear guidelines can be followed and the event runs smoothly.
The forms need to be returned promptly, no later than 27th April so that highway officers can prepare traffic orders.
The forms will also be referred to the Neath Port Talbot Safety Advisory group who inform the emergency services. The special events team will also contact the local councillor.
Special Events Officer, Kerry Jones, said, “I urge anyone organising a street party to get in touch with the team.
“There are procedures to follow and tight deadlines to keep.
“The team wants to help your event run smoothly so that everyone can have a good time.”
