Pontypridd captain Chris Dicomidis has called for one final effort from his side as they go in search of a league and cup double.
The SWALEC Cup holders face Llanelli on Thursday in the Principality Premiership Final and Dicomidis is looking to add the Premiership title to Ponty’s trophy cabinet this season.
“We need that one last push to defeat a very good Llanelli team,” said the Number 8.
“Training has gone well and we are confident we can put in one last performance that would bring another trophy back to Sardis Road this season.
“It will be great to get as many fans down to the ground on Thursday for what is a huge match, where we could achieve something very special.”
It has been a successful campaign for Pontypridd, who finished top of the Principality Premiership during the regular season and also made the semi-final of the British and Irish Cup.
The treatment room at Sardis Road has been busy in recent weeks since their Millennium Stadium triumph but Ponty are hopeful they can select from a fully fit squad to face Llanelli.
Flanker Darren Waters is hoping to overcome a knee complaint and take part in what will be his last game for the club before making the move to the Newport Gwent Dragons this summer.
Owen Williams is receiving treatment for a back strain he suffered in the SWALEC Cup final and faces a fitness test at training this evening.
Centre Adam Thomas and lock Ryan Savage are both carrying knocks but are expected to be fit, but one player who will not be lining up against Llanelli will be Chris Clayton who has been ruled out with a knee injury.
