Echoes of Wrexham will feature interviews with people from all walks of life being interviewed in some of their favourite locations in the area.
The project is being led by Umbrellas Productions, a group of students from Europe who are on a four-month study experience with Glyndŵr University.
Dalianne Barraud, 21, from France, and Marina Ruiz, Joan Gascon and Laura Hut, all aged 20 and from Barcelona, will film and edit interviews with Wrexham residents into a documentary which will be shared online.
Dalianne said: “All of us hope to be filmmakers in the future and when we were given the task of producing a new documentary when we arrived here, we decided to choose one which focuses on Wrexham.
“We are all new to the town and we wanted to hear stories from people who live here about what it was like years ago, what it’s like now and what they think Wrexham will be like in future.
“We also want to hear about what their favourite places are and why, and it’s in these locations where we hope to capture interviews.”
The students are in Wrexham for four months as part of a European study exchange programme called Erasmus.
