Rangers at council-run Bryngarw Country Park in Brynmenyn, Bridgend are inviting people to come and join them for a ‘Fungal Foray’ guided walk on Sunday 26 September between 10.30am – 12pm.
Britain has the perfect climate for some of the most delicious mushrooms. They grow in a wide range of habitats including woods, pastures and hedges and come in all shapes and sizes.
Fungi Forays focus on edible fungi and the plants that surround us as well as the seasonal wildlife.
Come and spend your Sunday morning discovering the fascinating world of fungi – see how many species you can discover and find out which ones have their place in the kitchen and which ones are potentially dangerous.
Meet at the visitor centre for the event – admission is free and car parking is £2.
You can also make your Sunday visit complete by taking a break from cooking Sunday lunch to dine in Bryngarw House’s award-winning Harlequin Restaurant. Three courses cost £18.95 and two courses cost £15.95 – call 01656 729009 to make a reservation.
