Representatives of Welsh and Chinese businesses, governments and educational institutions will come together on June 28th with a shared agenda of collaboration.
The Dragon Innovation Partnership, based in Swansea University’s Department of Research and Innovation, is inviting businesspeople to The Dragon Hotel to hear about opportunities for collaborative business development, innovation and training with Chinese organisations.
Presentations by speakers from organisations including the Welsh Government, Wales International Consortium and the Chinese Embassy will discuss existing and potential links between the countries, while the scope of existing connections will also be explored.
Added to insightful presentations from leaders in government, business and education, will be the opportunity to network with peers and the chance to forge profitable new partnerships.
Existing collaborations include a partnership between Swansea University and Chinese telecommunications vendor, Huawei Technologies. Telecom experts from Swansea University have been influential in helping to develop next generation MIMO technology and wireless solutions for high speed trains.
Professor Jinho Choi, from Swansea University’s College of Engineering, commented: “In showcasing how the Welsh Government and China supports collaboration, the event will illustrate the economic benefits of joint ventures with Chinese organisations and knowledge transfer between business and education.”
The free-to-attend event will be held at Swansea’s Dragon Hotel on June 28th from 12pm.
