Cardiff Council and Insider Magazine have teamed up to organise a one day conference on business growth.
The conference will take place on Tuesday, October 27 at City Hall, Cardiff and will bring together key decision makers in business including directors and senior managers of Welsh companies, funders and business advisors, as well as equity investors from the public and private sectors.
The event will also provide an opportunity for businesses to find out more about the support and funding on offer via public and private sector partner organisations, including universities, private and public sector investors.
Companies with innovative ideas also have a chance to pitch for funding via a Dragons Den-style format on the day, directly to an audience of investors.
Keynote speakers at the conference include Councillor Neil McEvoy, Deputy Leader of Cardiff Council and Executive Member for Economic Development, along with Paul Ragan, Managing
Director of Ragan Private Investments and co-founder of Collateral Thinking.
The conference follows on from the successful launch of the Capital Cardiff Fund, which took place on October 6.
Key players in Welsh Business joined Cardiff Council Leader, Councillor Rodney Berman and Deputy Leader and Executive Member for Economic Development, Councillor Neil McEvoy in
officially launching the fund.
The Capital Cardiff Fund has been developed to support new and existing businesses and offers support through a range of financial assistance schemes including loans, grants and
potential equity investments. The Councils partners will include Finance Wales, Xenos, Cardiff University/Fusion and UK Steel Enterprise.
Executive Member for Economic Development, Councillor Neil McEvoy said: “The conference provides a forum for those working in business to come together to discuss and share
ideas. It also provides a great networking opportunity for future partnerships and business to grow.”
