An exhibition – ‘Draw Tomorrow: Future Museum’ – showcasing the work of young local artists, who were inspired by some of the artefacts at the Gwynedd Museum and Art Gallery, will be held at Oriel Pendeitsh, Caernarfon until 9 November.
As part of the annual national Big Draw, a campaign during October which is held in 15 countries, a one-day art workshop was held responding to the theme ‘Draw Tomorrow’ at Gwynedd Museum and Art Gallery, Bangor.
Rebecca F. Hardy and Mererid Hâf from ‘Bocs’, the co-operative of young artists based in Caernarfon, led a group of ten budding artists to produce artwork inspired by objects at the museum.
Examples of the work produced during the one-day workshop, ranging from quick drawings, collage and printing, will be exhibited at Oriel Pemdeitsh alongside original artworks by seven members of ‘Bocs’.
Oriel Pendeitsh is open seven days a week 9:30am-4:30pm until 1 November, and Monday to Saturday 10am-3:30pm from 3 November onwards. To contact the gallery, call 01286 676476.
