Come and enjoy our countryside but park considerately is the message from Denbighshire Countryside Service as it gears up for a busy visitor season in the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
David Shiel, Clwydian Range AONB Officer, said: “Hundreds of people take advantage of the current good weather and public holidays to enjoy Loggerheads Country Park and use it as a base to venture into the park or walk in some of the surrounding scenic countryside.
“Of course there is a warm welcome for everyone to sample what the Clwydian Range has on offer, but all we ask is that people park considerately when they visit.
“At its busiest, the car park at Loggerheads can get full and people find alternative places to park nearby, especially alongside the A494 Mold to Ruthin road. It is an extremely busy route and during busy times the stretch through Loggerheads can get congested. In the past we have found that the odd car parking in an untidy way can cause an obstruction to pedestrians and other road users and we want to avoid any repeat of that”. For those wishing to explore the Clwydian Range more widely it is much better to park at Moel Famau.
